Water for Peace

Muslim Peacemakers Team (MPT) has been able to stir a storm of love, excitement, and joy amongst the teachers and young students of a local elementary school in Najaf called Al Hiwariyoon. Thanks to your generous help, Ameer, a young technician has installed a single water purification system for the school. Ameer, who is a 21 year old college student and working part time at Yanbee’a Al-Khair (The Goodness of the Water Springs) has offered MPT an extended warranty, free maintenance, and free transportation for 6 months.

The Iraqi Art Project

The Iraqi Art Project brings you art and culture from the Cradle of Civilization with images, created by Iraqi artists, of the people and the land. Building on the transformative power of art, this project helps to personalize relationships with Iraqis. It bridges American communities with Iraqi artists. We display and sell their watercolors and oils in churches, coffee shops, galleries, college classrooms, and art crawls. The shows provide images of Iraqi art and daily life and stimulate conversations with mainstream Americans that help open their hearts to the Iraqi people. In addition, cards and posters have been created from original paintings. Some of them carry messages that invite the Children of Abraham—Christians, Jews and Muslims, to recognize their common roots.
