Iraqi & American Reconciliation Project (IARP)
Please visit our new site at reconciliationproject.org ! The mission of the Iraqi and American Reconciliation Project
(IARP) is to promote reconciliation between the people of the
United States and Iraq in response to the devastation affecting
Iraqi families, society, and culture. IARP recognizes the common
humanity of the people of Iraq and the people of the United
States.
Our Goals:
- Raise consciousness in the American public
about the well-being of average Iraqis, their daily lives,
and their culture.
- Provide material support to Muslim Peacemaker
Teams (MPT).
- Build bridges between the people of both countries.
In July of 2007, IARP was established as a non-profit organization
under the fiscal sponsorship of Intermedia Arts, a 501 (c)3
corporation. IARP was founded as grassroots, citizen-based
support, in the United States, for MPT in Iraq. Along with
the Iraq Art Project and Letters for Peace, IARP provides financial
support to MPT for their work in Iraq. IARP is designed for
your participation and offers you ways to engage with the people
of Iraq.
